“இதமளி சிறுவர் பூங்கா” 10/06/2020 அன்று மட்டக்களப்பு போதனா வைத்தியசாலையில் திறந்து வைக்கப்பட்டது.

சர்வதேச மருத்துவ சுகாதார அமைப்பின் (IMHO-USA) நிதியுதவியுடன் புதுப்பிக்கப்பட்ட இந்த கட்டிடத்தை உத்தியோகபூர்வமாக டாக்டர் கே. அருள்நிதி (விசேட இதயநோய் நிபுணர் மற்றும் ஆலோசனை சபை அங்கத்தவர், சர்வதேச மருத்துவ சுகாதார அமைப்பு, இலங்கை) அவர்களால் டாக்டர் கே. கணேஷலிங்கம் (பணிப்பாளர், போதனா வைத்தியசாலை, மட்டக்களப்பு) அவர்களிடம் கையளிக்கப்பட்டது. இந்த விழாவில் , பிரதிப் பணிப்பாளர்கள், கணக்காளர்கள், விசேட சிறுவர் வைத்திய நிபுணர்கள் , விசேட உளமருத்துவ நிபுணர்கள், சேவை மையத்தின் பல் துறை ஆளணிக் குழுவினர் என்போர் பங்குபற்றினர்.

இந்த மையத்தின் ஒட்டுமொத்த நோக்கம் சிறுவர்களில் உள்ள திறன்களைக் கண்டறிந்து மற்றும் தேவைப்பட்டால், சிறுவர் நேய சூழலில் பொருத்தமான இடையீடுகளை (திறன் மேம்பாடு) மேற்கொள்வதன் மூலம் அவர்களின் சவால்கள் மற்றும் துன்பங்களை எதிர்கொள்ள சிறுவர்களுக்கு உதவுதல் ஆகும். இது அனைத்து சிறுவர்களுக்கும் அவர்களின் முன்னேற்றத்துக்கு உதவுவதாக அமைந்தாலும் விசேடமாக பாடசாலை விலகலுக்கு உட்படக் கூடிய கற்றல் இடர்ப்பாடுகள் ( அறிவுசார் இயலாமை, திரிபு எழுத்து போன்ற) உள்ளவர்கள், நரம்பியல் விருத்திக் கோளாறுகள் உள்ளவர்கள் (ஆட்டிசம் பரம்பல் நிலைமைகள் போன்ற) மற்றும் அடிக்கடி அல்லது நீண்ட நாட்கள் வைத்தியசாலையில் அனுமதிக்கப்படும், நாட்பட்ட உடல் நோய்கள் உள்ள சிறுவர்களுக்குப் பெரிதும் உதவுவதாக அமையும்.

Handing over New Child Support Center - “Children’s Healing Garden”

Children’s Healing Garden was opened on 10/06/2020 in Teaching Hospital, Batticaloa. This building that was renovated with the funding support from International Medical Health Organization (IMHO-USA) was officially handed over by Dr.K. Arulnithy (Consultant Cardiologist & Board member, IMHO, Sri Lanka) to Dr.K. Ganeshalingam (Director, Teaching Hospital, Batticaloa). Deputy Directors, Accountants, Consultant Paediatricians, Consultant Psychiatrists, Multi-disciplinary team members of the center participated in this function.

Overall objective of this center is to identify and facilitate skills in children and if necessary, support the children to cope with their demands, challenges and adversities by appropriate interventions (skill development etc.) in a child-friendly & enabling environment. This facility is of great help to children having difficulties in learning (intellectual disability, dyslexia etc.) that results in school drop-out, children with neuro-developmental disorders (Autism Spectrum Conditions etc.) and children with chronic physical illnesses (with frequent hospital admissions and longer ward stays).
