மட்டக்களப்பு போதனா வைத்தியசாலையின் கோவிட் 19 சேவை வழங்கல்கள் விஸ்தரிப்பு

மட்டக்களப்பு போதனா வைத்தியசாலையில் இதற்கென பிரத்தியேகமாக கட்டமைக்கப்பட்ட கோவிட் 19 தனிமைப்படுத்தும் பிரிவினூடாக, கோவிட் 19 தொற்றுக்குள்ளான கர்ப்பிணித் தாய்மார்களை பொறுப்பேற்று, தேவைப்படும் போதுஅவசியமான பலதரப்பட்ட வைத்திய நிபுணத்துவ கவனிப்புகளை மிகவும் பாதுகாப்பாக வழங்கிவருகின்றது.

அந்தவகையில் கடந்த 30.11.2020 திங்கட்கிழமை அதிகாலை 5.30 மணிக்கு காத்தான்குடி கோவிட் 19 சிகிச்சை மையத்திலிருந்து பேறுகாலத்தில் இருந்த கர்ப்பிணித்தாயைப் பொறுப்பேற்று, அவருடைய பிரசவம் சாதாரண பிரசவமாக அமைவதற்கு ஏதுநிலை இல்லையென மகப்பேற்று வைத்திய நிபுணர்கள் குழாம் உறுதிப்படுத்தியதையடுத்து, கோவிட் 19 விசேட சத்திரசிகிச்சை கூடத்தில் சிசேரியன் அறுவைச்சிகிச்சை மூலம் 30.11.2020 திங்கட்கிழமை காலை 10.37 மணிக்கு அழகான ஆரோக்கியமான பெண் குழந்தையொன்று பிரசவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. தாயும் சேயும் பிரத்தியேகமாக கட்டமைக்கப்பட்ட கோவிட் 19 தனிமைப்படுத்தும் பிரிவில் பராமரிக்கப்பட்டு சிறந்த ஆரோக்கியத்துடன் 03.12.2020 அன்று வியாழக்கிழமை காத்தான்குடி கோவிட் 19 சிகிச்சை மையத்திற்கு மீளஅனுப்பப்பட்டுள்ளனர்.

இந்த சேவையில் பங்கேற்ற விசேடவைத்திய நிபுணர்கள், வைத்தியர்கள், தாதிய உத்தியோகத்தர்கள், மருத்துவ மாதுக்கள், சுகாதார சேவை உதவியாளர்கள் மற்றும் ஏனைய ஊழியர்களுக்கும் வைத்தியசாலை சார்பில் நன்றிகளையும் பாராட்டுகளையும் தெரிவித்துக் கொள்ளுகிறோம்.

இதேபோன்று மட்டக்களப்பு போதனா வைத்தியசாலையில் பிரத்தியேகமாக கட்டமைக்கப்பட்ட PCR பரிசோதனைக்கூடத்தினூடாக இதுவரைகோவிட் 19 தொற்றை உறுதிப்படுத்தும் 25000 க்கும் மேற்பட்ட PCR பரிசோதனைகள் செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது.

24 மணிநேர தொடர் சேவையாக இடம்பெற்று வரும் இந்த பரிசோதனைகளுக்கு மேலதிகமாக, மட்டக்களப்பு போதனா வைத்தியசாலையின் நுண்ணுயிரியல் விசேடவைத்திய நிபுணர் தலைமையிலான மருத்துவ ஆய்வுகூட தொழினுட்பவியலாளர்கள் குழாமொன்று, கடந்த 26.11.2020 வியாழக்கிழமை அக்கரைப்பற்று மத்திய சந்தைப்பகுதியில் பாரியளவிலான கோவிட் 19 அன்ரிஜன் பரிசோதனைகளை நடமாடும் சேவையாக வெற்றிகரமாக நடத்தியிருந்தது. இதனூடாக அக்கரைப்பற்று கோவிட் 19 கொத்தணியை உடனடியாக அடையாளப்படுத்தி அதன் பரவலைத்தடுப்பதில் பாரியபங்களிப்பை செய்திருந்தனர். மேல் மாகாணத்துக்கு வெளியே சமூகமட்டத்தில் பாரியளவில் மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்ட கோவிட் 19 அன்ரிஜன் பரிசோதனைகளில் இது முக்கியத்துவம் பெறுகிறது.

Expansion of Covid-19 Service Provisions of Batticaloa Teaching Hospital

Teaching Hospital Batticaloa, the only tertiary center in the Eastern Province that can provide care to all pregnant mothers who are pregnant with complicated and uncomplicated pregnancies, has successfully provided obstetric and delivery services to pregnant mothers with Covid 19 infection in the Eastern Province.

Batticaloa Teaching Hospital is prepared to takeover and provide necessary multidisciplinary care to Covid-19 infected pregnant mothers, as and when needed, through its specially designed Covid-19 Isolation Unit.

In that regard, on Monday 30.11.2020 at 5.30 am from the Covid-19 treatment center in Kattankudy, the Consultant Obstetrician at Batticaloa Teaching Hospital took charge of the pregnant woman who was in labour and the team of obstetricians confirmed that her delivery was not possible by normal delivery. Thereafter a healthy baby girl was delivered at 10.37 am on 30.11.2020 by Caesarean surgery, performed safely at specially designed Covid-19 Operation Theatre. The mother and child were cared in dedicated Covid-19 Isolation Unit and were sent back to Covid-19 treatment center in Kattankudy on Thursday 03.12.2020 with excellent health.

On behalf of the hospital we would like to express our sincere gratitude and appreciation to the medical specialists, medical officers, nurses, midwives, health care assistants and all other staff who participated in this service.

Similarly, more than 25,000 PCR tests have been performed so far to confirm Covid-19 infection through a specially designed PCR laboratory at the Batticaloa Teaching Hospital.

In addition to this 24-hour service, a team of Medical Laboratory Technologists led by Consultant Microbiologist at the Batticaloa Teaching Hospital successfully conducted a large-scale Covid-19 antigen test on Thursday, 26.11.2020 at Akkaraipattu Central Market. Through this they contributed significantly in identifying the Akkaraipattu Covid-19 cluster immediately and preventing its spread. This is particularly significant in the case of Covid-19 antigen tests performed at community level outside the Western Province.
