World Heart Day 2020

Celebration of “World Heart Day” at Teaching Hospital, Batticaloa, was held on 2nd October 2020. This Year theme is “Use heart to beat cardiovascular diseases”

As part of this programme, we have arranged a Blood pressure screening camp for the hospital staff at the main auditorium of Teaching Hospital, Batticaloa from 29th to 30th of September, 2020.

An awareness programme also held on 2nd of October. The programme was started with Director’s address. Two speakers, Dr.F.Francis(Honorary Consultant Cardiologist, TH-Batticaloa) and Dr.Jeyathas (Medical Officer in Nutrition, TH-Batticaloa) gave talks on “Prevention of cardiovascular diseases” and “Mindful eating and Healthy lifestyle” respectively Dr.Navalojithan, Senior Medical Officer from RDHS Office shared his experiences on this matter.
