Celebration of World Patient Safety Day at Teaching Hospital – Batticaloa, was held on 17th September 2020.


This year theme is “Health Worker Safety: A Priority for Patient Safety”

Orange colour light was lighten up by Deputy Directors of Teaching Hospital, Batticaloa infront of the Administrative Building to commemorate World Patient Safety Day.


An awareness programme was arranged by quality Management Unit under the guidance of Director. Two speakers, Dr.Vaitheki R.Francis(Honorary Consultant Microbiologist, TH-Batticaloa, Senior Lecturer in Microbiology, Faculty of Healthcare Science, EUSL) and Dr.A.Elangovan (Consultant Judicial Medical Officer) talked on “Needle pick injury – Occupational Hazard of healthcare Workers” and “Health workers’ safety and Documentation” respectively.
