World Physiotherapy Day - 2021 Celebration Of Teaching Hospital, Batticaloa

Teaching Hospital, Batticaloa celebrated the “World Physiotherapy Day 2021” on 8th September 2021 according to the theme that was given by the World Confederation for Physical Therapy (WCPT) as “Long COVID and rehabilitation”. To mark this day, a CD was launched related to the theme and the current COVID pandemic and named as “Essential breathing exercises, prerequisites for COVID 19 prevention and rehabilitation” on behalf to enhance the awareness among the health staff and the general public. The first CD was issued to Mrs. K. Ganasalingam, the Director, Teaching Hospital, Batticaloa by Mr. V. Sasiraj, the Chief Physiotherapist, Teaching Hospital, Batticaloa followed by the consultant specialists, health staff and the general public.
Since Physiotherapists are one of a front line health staff during COVID 19 pandemic, we Physiotherapists of Teaching Hospital, Batticaloa are working to our best of knowledge and experiences in treating patients currently and for further.
Administration appreciated all of multidisciplinary team members for the immense support that was given for the Physiotherapists to perform their duties throughout this period.
